Fall in Maryland's Capital Region runs from Montgomery County orchards down to the Southern Maryland waterfront.

The Must See is the 60th Annual U.S. Oyster Festival at the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown, October 17 and October 18. The other Editor’s picks are the Butler’s Orchard Pumpkin Festival in Germantown, through November 1, Markoff’s Haunted Forest in Dickerson, October 16 through November 8, the 18th Annual American Indian Festival at Patuxent River Park, October 17, and Vince Staples at The Fillmore Silver Spring, October 30.

From there the list runs through the Fillmore concerts, farm festivals, haunted trails and trunk-or-treats still on the page.
